Defence pensioner grievance redressal meeting held

Over 1,800 pensioners participated in the two-day-long 183rd Raksha Pension Samadhan Ayojan (defence pension Adalat) that took place at Sri Ramakrishna college of arts and science in the city from October 12. It was organized to address the grievances of defence pensioners from army, navy, air force and defence civilians. 
The grievances were addressed by staff of CDA Chennai organization in association with various army record offices, public sector banks and PCDA pensions prayagraj. 
In the meeting, the family pension issues of three people – Lakshmi, Jayanthi and Saraswathi – were rectified within a couple of hours and BL Shivakumar, principal and secretary of the college distributed a cheque worth Rs 5.98 lakh to Lakshmi, while controller of defence accounts T Jayaseelan distributed the cheque to Saraswathi.
