Devotees seek Action on Land Grabbers

Many devotees of Erode Periyamariamman Temple submitted a petition to the collector at the collectorate seeking criminal action on government land  grabbers of the area for violating the HC order directing them to maintain status quo till the disposal of their petition challenging the government  order that the 12.66 acre land there was belonging to government.

They led by temple land retrieval movement president ERM Chandrasekar said that the land grabbers violated the HC order by felling down a tree and started construction activity.  As such activities were in violation of court order, the government  should proceed  HC contempt proceedings and criminal action against them. 

The petition was given to press the demand, they said. BJP, VHP, Hindu Munnani functionaries Shanmugasundaram, Senthilkumar, Palanichami, Jaganathan,  Iswaramurthy, Annadurai, Sivakumar and Tamilselvi were present.
