Diffables assn postpones stir against Erode GH

Erode district differently abled welfare association postponed a stir against Erode GH following an assurance given by the joint director for health Premakumari to settle their grievances regarding the GH.

According to the association president S Durairaj, the association announced an indefinite dharna in front of the GH from today to press basic facilities for differently abled persons in the GH, Appointment of a Neurologist, Renovation of disabled toilet in the campus and reestablishment of MRI Scan for use by disabled persons and general public. 

On Monday  District Joint Director for Health Dr. Premakumari, Perundurai Government Medical College Medical Team, Erode District Diffables Welfare Officer, P.A.Gothaichelvi,  GH RMO Kavitha and superintendent held talks with the association. 

The officials assured to arrange the visit of a neurologist of Perundurai Government Medical College Hospital on first and third of every month from August to Erode GH for giving certificates to diffables, repair damaged toilets for diffabled  within a week and erect MRI scan in the the newly constructed multi-purpose hospital in the GH. An agreement was reached in the negotiation to fulfil the demands. 

So, the proposed stir was postponed till August 15. 
Association president S.Durairaj, secretary E.Senthilkumar, and treasurer R.Navaneethakrishnan, attended the talks.
