'DMK dupes people in the name of Dravidian model rule'

Aikkiya Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) state president and former Wakf Board chairman S Hyder Ali  has accused DMK of deceiving people in the name of Dravidian model government.  After party meeting here on Sunday,  he told newsmen ''DMK implements many schemes of the Central government, especially the new education policy, while claiming to be against it. This is why the ministers coming from the Centre are praising this government for its education policy.

DMK has made an election promise to conduct a caste-wise census. We welcome DMK's opposition to the 10% quota for upper class poor. But, it didnot yet conduct caste wise census. 10 percent quota is against the principle of social justice. We want quota for various caste according to their population so caste wise census is needed. Wakf Board Properties were swindled now. It should be prevented.

We welcome the release of seven people in the  former  PM Rajiv Gandhi murder case. Similarly, the Muslims who have been in jail for many years should be freed. Rangaraj Mishra and Sachar Committees were constituted by the Congress regime for  minorities welfare. Congress rule offered nearly Rs 70 to 100 cr every year to TN minorities finance development corporation (TAMCO). But, BJP rule didnot allot any fund during its first 4 years and Rs 3000 each during the next 4 years, he rued. 

The Parliament passed an Act in 1991, all worshipping places excluding Babri Masjid should be protected as in 1947. So, it is wrong for SC and HC to hear the petitions regarding Kasi mosque regarding Sivalingam there. In the upcoming parliamentary elections, we will support the party that will firmly oppose the BJP. But, the DMK is trying to expel Congress from its front. Our support will depend on the alliances formed during the parliamentary elections. The cylinder  bomb blast in Coimbatore was a precursor to the LS poll. Many such incidents could occur before poll, he feared.
