Dr KKM Kesavan: A much erudite lawyer of Erode

The 82- year old Dr KKM Kesavan is seemed to be an highest qualified lawyer of Erode district. Even then, he is much simple, humble, honest, besides loyal to his profession through which helping many people. 
He is the only lawyer having doctorate (PhD) in Erode district. The degree was conferred by the then Governor Harkishen Singh Surjith   in Barathiyar Varsity for his thesis-Free Legal Aid Movement in TN with the Special reference to Erode District.
Founder president of KKM Kesavan Law Educational Trust, helping to create legal awareness among people, he got his BA English literature and pursued BL in BMS Law College, Bangalore, led by Principal ES Venkataramaiaha, who later became Chief Justice of India (CJI) and his daughter Nagarathinamma will become CJI in 2025.
He started working in Erode Court from 1968.
After that, he got the following degrees through his hard work and continuous reading: 10 MA degrees-Pub Admn, History, CCJA, Socialogy, Philosophy, Religion, Culture, Political Science, Economics, Police Admn, MC and J, HRM- MBA, M Phil, MS (Edu Mgt), MCom, LLM, PhD, DLL and AL, DTL, DCL and BL, PGDCF Sc, PGDPM and IR, CYP-PM and IR, CYP-HRD, DYDW, PGDHR, and PGDRD. 
He was appointed as Notary Public. He was a former composite Periyar district government pleader, special public prosecutor (human right), member of free legal aid board, constituted by late CM MGR,  free legal aid committee, state organising secretary of BMS, RSS active Pracharak, founder vice president of Erode district consumer council, founder secretary Advocates Association. He was the first Commissioner of Oaths of composite Periyar district and associated with various service organisations. 
His Golden Jubilee celebration of the profession, held at Erode on 6.10.2018, 9 HC judges, including the present SC Judge MM Sundaresh, felicitated him. He served as asst prof of Vasavi College teaching Mercantile Law. 
 His articles related to law were published in various journals. He was qualified in typing in English Tamil, shorthand, book keeping and accountancy and commercial geography of directorate of TN technical education. 
He, son of a small trader and purohit Narayanan of Kannur district, Kerala, lost his mother at the age of one. Then, he was brought up by his 5  uncles. Out of his self interest only, he studied law to serve the society. 
Now, his son Jayaganeshan is an eminent lawyer in HC and daughter Jayasudha is a barathanatyam exponent. On his footsteps, they also studied well and got many degrees.  
  He attended thousands of civil, labour, consumer, cases etc and got success in most of the suits in various courts. He trained over 55 juniors and of which 11 became judges. He won many awards from various institutions. Even now, he is the active senior lawyer of the district guiding many young lawyers.
