District Revenue Officer S.Santoshini Chandra received 260 petitions at the public grievance day meeting, held in Erode District Collector's office. Petitions related to old age, widow, destitute women, disabled pension, housing, employment facility etc. She handed them over to the departmental officers and ordered them to take immediate action. She reviewed the actions taken on the petitions to the CM's camp.
At the function, more than 30 women from Pallapalayam, near Perundurai, sought closure of a Tasmac shop there. A member of Consumer Protection and Awareness Movement Manikandan, sought action on traders and bus conductors for refusing Rs 10 coin. People living on the banks of the Bhavani river at Bhavani Pashuveswarar Road and Jangamar Road pleaded to drop the move to vacate our residences and force them to go to the flats constructed across the Cauvery river at Kumarapalayam.
