EB workers stage Demo

Trade Unions Joint Action Committee of TNEB staged a demonstration  in front of the EB Chief Engineer’s Office, Erode, on  Tuesday. The stir was led by Indrani, state president of the Electrical Engineers Association.  

The unions asked the  Board to abandon its claim that various benefits and welfare schemes should not be provided to employees on the ground of financial status and demanded all benefits including home loans, auto loans and education loans.  

Of the 52,000 vacancies in the TNEB, none other than the Gangman posts, has been filled in the last 5 years.  The wanted filling up of 4,000 assessors posts.  
Executives from various unions who attended the demonstration raised slogans about the demands.
