ECI announces special camps for revision in voters’ list

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced four special camps for making revisions in voters’ list in the state.  The special camps would be conducted on November 12, 13, 26 and 27. Voters can add, remove or make corrections to their details in the list. 

The respective district collectors would make all the necessary arrangements to conduct the camps.The commission has also appointed ten IAS officers to supervise the works. The officials would conduct a meeting with representatives from all political parties apart from meeting the public to understand and address their issues related to voters’ list.

Labour commissioner Abdul Anand, backward welfare department commissioner Anil Meshram, Managing director of Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCO) Jayashree Muralidharan, director of Tamil Nadu handloom development corporation limited Shobana, commissioner of textile Vallalar, special secretary to agriculture department Abrahim, chairman and managing director of Poompuhar shipping corporation Siva Shanmuga Raja, managing director of overseas manpower corporation Maheswaran, special secretary to MSMEs department Maheswari and additional commissioner to commissionerate of land administration Jayanthi were appointed by the commission.
