Elephant chases sugarcane truck

 A lorry loaded with sugarcane was chased by a single elephant on the Bannari National Highway, creating panic among  motorists. Trucks carrying loads of sugarcane come daily to Sathyamangalam Sugar Factory via Asanoor, Thimbam, and Bannari. Trucks loaded with sugarcane throw small pieces of sugarcane on the road on the Asanur National Highway to reduce the weight, so elephants who are used to eating it, wait for the sugarcane trucks. 

In this case, the sugarcane lorry that came from Samraj Nagar to Bannari via Thimbam on Friday was intercepted by an elephant standing on the roadside and snatched the sugarcane. The driver of the sugarcane lorry slowly drove the lorry and left, after which the elephant chased the lorry for sugarcane for some distance and then went into the forest. The passing motorists were scared when the elephant chased the lorry on the road.
