Erode Book Festival to begin on Friday

Collector Rajagopal Sunkara has informed 12-day Erode Book Festival, jointly organised by the district administration and Erode Makkal Sithanai Peravai, will begin at the Erode CN College on Friday with 230 stalls and many publishers of Tamil and English all over the nation.

After holding a consultation meeting with officials at the Collectorate on Wednesday, he said the fair will open for public from 11 am to 9.30 pm and literary meetings will be held daily from 6 pm. Book enthusiasts certificates and book hundial schemes are available. Transport, medical and proper security will be arranged, he added.  Peravai president T Stalin Gunasekaran, assistant Collector Gayathri, PA (general) to Collector Ganesh and assistant director (panchayat) Surya attended the meeting.
