Erode Corporation submits Rs 5.49 cr surplus budget

Erode Corporation presented Rs 5.49 cr surplus budget for next financial year in the corporation council meeting held on Wednesday.
The budget copy was presented to the Mayor  Nagarathinam Subramaniam by finance committee president Malliga Natarajan.
According to the budget, the expected total revenue of the civic body is Rs 517.18 cr and expenditure 
Rs 512.18 cr. 
It said the revenue under the property tax is Rs 71.92 cr, professional tax Rs 6.78 cr,  registration dept fee Rs 7 cr, entertainment tax Rs 1.50 cr, lease revenue of corpn public utility places Rs 12.86 cr, trade licence, LBS registration and UGD fees Rs 58.69 cr, subsidies and loans Rs 260.48 cr.
Expenditures: salary Rs 98.05 cr, pension retirement benefits  Rs 28.74 cr, administration Rs 0.34 cr,  principal and interest repayment Rs 10.71 cr, capital expenditure Rs 269.51 cr.
