The families which lost its breadwinner in the corona pandemic thanked the CM for arranging jobs in private firm by arranging a special job mela, arranged by employment and career guidance department and district protection wing, for them recently. Already, the social welfare and the wing helped them by special schemes and Housing Minister S Muthusamy handed over Rs 9.90 cr government aid to 322 children who lost anyone of the parents or both the parents.
To help them more, Collector arranged the special job mela on June 9 with arranging loan to start SSIs for the affected families. Around 17 firms and 182 persons attended the mela and 50 got various kind of relief. Of them, 7 got job orders in private firms from the Collector. Vinitha of teachers colony, Perundurai, whose 44 year old husband died due to corona, suffered with 2 children without income.
She says ''as she was qualified in diploma in office management, she got a job in a hospital through the mela and got placement order from the collector''. In this regard, she expressed her gratitude to the CM for ordering job mela''. Another person Abirami of Karungalpalayam , Erode, lost her 33 year old husband. She has a 4 year old daughter and was now staying in her parents house.
She says ''I also attended the mela and took part in the first phase of interview of a private firm and was assured to be invited for second phase of inteeview''. She hoped she would get the job and also thanked the CM for arranging the mela to help corona victims families at the time of their distress.
