Fund allotted for study on Corona impact

The ICSSR (Indian Council of Social Science Research) of Ministry of Education,  Government of India, has sanctioned a financial assistance of Rs 3.12 lakh to Dr. M. Saravanakuma, Professor, Department of Economics, government aided Erode Arts and Science College, Erode,  for conducting a minor research project on the ''impact of Central and state governments' assistance to people from recovering from Corona pandemic situation''. 

The study should be completed within a year focussing on the Erode district and the study report should be submitted to the Central Government. The socio-economic status of the people before and after Corona and the impact of the economic assistance provided by the Central and State Governments during the Corona  period are to be examined under the study. 

The study will take place in both areas of villages and cities.  This study will suggest new strategies and methods for policymakers and the community on how to deal with an extraordinary situation like Corona 19.  The results of this study will also be published as research article and book, a release said.
