The Georgian government acknowledging the conditions stipulated by the Indian National Medical Commission for recognizing foreign medical education has created an extension of the medical pathway for students for approximately 9 years.
The Georgian authorities have issued a clarification stating that after completing an MD diploma from Georgia of 6 years, students can take a national post-diploma qualification exam enabling the graduates to continue their education in post-diploma or residency of 3 years.

They further added that this examination is conducted in Georgian language and can be attempted by a medical student from any nationality. Post completion of residency program students are provided registration to practice as independent medical practitioners by the Ministry of Health, Labour & Social Affairs.
With all the necessary clarifications from Georgian Authorities this pathway will assist Indian students in Georgia to fully comply with NMC FMGL Regulations 2021 and complete their education in 9 years However to students are advised to take a cautious decision and get a validation of information to avoid any financial loss and serious loss of careers and aspirations.
