Gobi MLA and former minister KA Sengottaiyan addressing at the 43rd annual general body meeting of the Erode District Central Co-op Bank at Erode on Friday. He appealed to the government to release water for irrigation in the LBP canal from August 15 as per schedule and drop the move to erect a toll gate at Palapalayam in Gobi-Erode state highway. The bank chairman N Krishnaraj said the bank earned a profit of Rs 16.35 cr last financial year.
