Governor's continuing controversial action!

Governor's continuing controversial action!

Governor R.N Ravi has announced that he will remove Senthil Balaji from the post of Minister without the recommendation and approval of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin. This is the first time in India that the governor has removed a minister without the permission of the chief minister, and the news is spreading virally on the internet.
The Enforcement Directorate has arrested Senthil Balaji, who was the Minister of Electricity and Prohibition in the Tamil Nadu Cabinet. He underwent a heart surgery and is resting in Kaveri Hospital in judicial custody. The Tamil Nadu government issued an order declaring that he would continue as a non-portfolio minister even if the governor did not give permission.
In the meantime, Governor R.N Ravi announced the removal of Senthil Balaji from the post of Minister. This has ignited a stir in Tamil Nadu politics.
If Senthil Balaji, who has been arrested by the enforcement department, continues as minister, he may use his influence to obstruct the investigation of law and justice is the Governor"s justification. He is currently in judicial custody in the case of the Enforcement Directorate. As a result, he has been removed from the ministerial position, the governor has stated.
No governor has removed a minister from the cabinet without the permission or recommendation of the Chief Minister, and the action of Governor RN Ravi is seen by political critics as a rare and unusual event. This is why Governor R.N Ravi's drastic removal of Senthil Balaji from the cabinet has sparked a debate with great vibrancy. This is because in many cases, the Courts have to appoint a person nominated by the Chief Minister, who is the head of government elected by the people as the Governor, as a Minister.
He said that the person nominated by him should be removed from the cabinet. It has also been stated that the Governor should abide by the decision of the Cabinet headed by the Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, this announcement of Governor R.N Ravi has created a storm in Tamil Nadu politics. What do the lawyers say about this?
``Governor is empowered in the political system. But it should be within certain limits. The Supreme Court has already ruled in such cases. In appointing a minister only the decision of the Chief Minister should be accepted. Based on that, the minister of the concerned department should be administered the oath of office of the governor. This is what has been working in the political system and in practice so far.
But Tamil Nadu Governor Ravi has violated the constitution in this regard. This will be an important reason to remove his governorship. A governor who abuses his power can be impeached. The handling of such activities by the Governor is not a function of any state and is unacceptable. The Governor's action is completely against the constitutional system laid down by Dr. Ambedkar.'
Some lawyers also say that the Governor has the power. Let alone legal disputes and legal battles. What will happen if other state governors take Governor R.N Ravi's guidance in violation of tradition? State administration will be disrupted and people's work will be paralyzed. Is it necessary? is the question in people's mind.
What if the President starts acting like Governor R.N Ravi because he has the power? This  has become a concern of the people of the country.
DMK is planning to face the action of Governor R.N Ravi legally. Once again, the conflict between the Tamil Nadu government and Governor R.N Ravi has taken shape.
In this situation, the Governor is currently suspending his order to remove Senthil Balaji from the post of minister due to protests from many quarters.
He is going to consult with the Attorney General of the Central Government. Why should he have issued this order after making that suggestion?
Doubts have also arisen whether there is any truth in the accusations of the opposition parties that he is acting in such a manner as per the directions of the central government.
Another concern of the people is that some decisions taken by those in supreme power should not affect the dignity of Indian democracy as if they were taken for the sake of politics.
But it is somewhat comforting that the governor has withdrawn his order. Will Governor R.N Ravi continue this stance and the legacy of protecting democratic dignity?
Let's believe. Let democracy flourish!
