For the first time in India, the 6th Edition of the Culinary Challenge Competition by South Indian Chef Association was held in the presence of international judges at the Trade Centre in Nandambakkam, Chennai.
The winners of the International Chef Association (WACS)were awarded prizes on 18th September at Radisson Blu Hotel.
Padma Singh Isaac, Founder, Achi Masala, Chef Damu, President, South Indian Chefs Association, and Chef Sheetaram Prasaad, General Secretary presented the trophy.
In particular, the 1121.6 kg bean salad created by Chef Rajmohan on behalf of the South Indian Chefs Association set a Guinness World Record. This feat was done for food awareness.
Chef Yuvaraja of Grand by GRT, T Nagar won the best bakery chef award. IHM Chennai won the best participation college award.
Radisson Blu Hotel won the 2nd Runner up Cup at the 3-day Cooking Challenge held in Chennai.
The Residency Group of Hotels won the 1st Runner up Cup at the 3-day Cooking Challenge held in Chennai.
Grand by GRT, T Nagar won the Chef Soundararajan Memorial Cup for securing the first position of the 3-day Cooking Challenge held in Chennai.
