Hand book to PMRHP given to beneficiaries

Erode District Collector H. Krishnanunni handed over a hand book, released by state government, to the beneficiaries of the Prime Minister's Rural Housing Project (PMRHP) at a function held at the Collectorate on Friday. 

The beneficiaries who are constructing houses under the Scheme for the year 2021-22 were given the manual. It includes estimates of the house to be built, sample map, dimensions, facilities to be provided to the beneficiaries (including toilets), details of construction materials provided by the Housing Department and the amount to be provided at each stage of the work.  Also telephone numbers to report any defects in connection with the construction of the house: (8925422215 f 8925422216 f 0424-2260494) and details are also printed in it. It will be provided by the BDOs to all the beneficiaries who are constructing houses. Additional Collector (Development), District Rural Development Agency L. Madhubalan was present on the occasion.
Subsidy to buy farm motors:

The Collector said that small and marginal farmers can apply for the subsidy scheme to purchase new electric motor pumpsets to replace the old inefficient electric motors up-to 10hp. Those who wish to dig borewells can also apply with required documents to get the subsidy to buy motors. The aid of maximum Rs 10000 or 50 percent of the cost of motors would be given to 26 ryots in the district. Motors should be purchased only from government approved companies. Eligible farmers are advised to contact the office of the Assistant Engineer, Department of Agricultural Engineering, Erode or Gopi in person or at 0424-2904843, 04285-290069, he added.
