Home Minister's Medal for Erode Additional SP

Erode District Additional Superintendent of Police A Kanakeswari has been announced for this year's Home Minister's medal for her excellent handling of a murder case which led to the conviction of the culprits. 
She was working as additional SP to prevent crimes against women and children of Erode District. When she was Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tindivanam 

Division, in 2019, a murder case was reported. She investigated the case. Details of the case are as follows: One Govarthan lodged a complaint at Dindivanam police station that Raju, his wife Kalaichelvi and their son Gautham died in the blast in the AC machine in the house on 15.5.2019. 

He is the son of the deceased Raju-Kalaichelvi couple. During her investigation, it was revealed thatGovardhan and his wife Deepagayathri had killed  father, mother and younger brother for the sake of property. 

The related case was heard in Poondamalli Explosives Court, Chennai.  Kanakeswari filed the charge sheet in the court. During the trial of this case, the witnesses became hostile. 
Kanakeswari made the case go in the right direction through circumstantial evidence, forensic evidence etc. 

Thus Govarthan and Deepagayatri were found guilty by the court. On 26-10-2021, the court gave the death sentence to them that the criminals should be hanged till death.
 

So, she was selected for Home Minister's Medal as the best investigator for investigating a case of suspicious death and getting proper punishment for the culprits. She was felicitated by Erode District Superintendent of Police Sashimohan and other senior officers.
