Hundreds of AIADMK cadres held at Erode

Hundreds of AIADMK members staged a dharna in Erode Veerappanchathram after condemning the arrest of AIADMK MLAs and EPS  at Chennai. The police arrested them. Former Chief Minister and AIADMK Interim General Secretary and AIADMK Assembly Committee President Edappadi Palanichami had announced that RP Udayakumar has been elected as the Deputy President of the AIADMK Assembly MLAs Team.  But Assembly Speaker Appavu rejected it. 

Therefore former chief minister Panneerselvam, who was removed from the party, is acting as the party's legislative committee deputy  leader even now. Condemning this, AIADMK accused DMK of supporting Panneerselvam and trying to create confusion in AIADMK.

In protest against this, the AIADMK MLAs and party officials in Chennai led by former Chief Minister Edappadi Palanichami had come to participate in a hunger strike near Valluvar Kottam today morning.  The police arrested them and took them to the Rajaratnam Stadium. In connection with this, many AIADMK volunteers led by Erode District Secretary and former Minister KV Ramalingam staged dharna in the Veerappan Chatram area of ​​Erode and participated in the road blockade protest and chanted slogans against DMK rule.

Police arrested them and took them to a private wedding hall.The AIADMK members chanted slogans against DMK rule  that the government  was unleashing atrocity on the opposition parties and democracy is being assassinated in TN.
