Governor of Tamil Nadu, Thiru.R.N.Ravi delivered valedictory address at the two day conference of Vice-Chancellors (VCs) of State, Central and Private Universities in Tamil Nadu at Raj Bhavan, Udhagamandalam on Tuesday.
The Governor and Prof.M.Jagdesh Kumar, Chairman, University Grants Commission also witnessed the presentations and group discussions.
The Governor appreciated insightful and indepth brain storming sessions conducted by VCs and representatives of the varsities.
The outcome of two days conference will be compiled and shared with Central, State Governments and policy makers, as well.
He said the nation is confidently marching towards its destiny of becoming Vishwa Guru, by 2047 for which an exhaustive road map is needed. The Conference has provided much needed input for the cause.
Educationists and intellectuals from the varsities came together and provided their insights based on their vast experience, wisdom, converged and co-created the blue print of future course of action.
It will redefine our future course of action particularly in education and sustainable developments.
In the new world order, Nation is looking forward by pooling our enormous human resources and youth power to succeed in our mission of becoming a world leader by the year 2047 while our Nation will be celebrating 100th year of Freedom.
It is our tradition to do good for the fellow human and all other forms of life.
It is collective responsibility of every citizen, particularly youths to mark their contribution for prosperous India for a peaceful and prosperous world, he said.
