International Food Day Celebration at St. Jude’s

The management, students and staff at St. Jude’s came together to celebrate an unforgettable International Food Day. The event was held on 16th October under the guidance of the Chairman, Dr. P.P. Dhanarajan and the Executive Director, Dr. Samjith Dhanarajan. The Principal, Dr. Saro Dhanarajan and the Additional Principal, Mr C. Sivakumar presided over the events of the day. Since, the theme for this year is “Water is life, water is food”, the audience were educated on the significance of water and wastage reduction through meaningful conversations by Tej Kishore and Adavan Elango of grade VI A. Videos on food wastage and its consequences helped the children learn about the environmental impact, social implications and most of all, responsible consumption. Mr. Babu in his speech enlightened the audience on the importance of the day and called for action to put an end to hunger. The principal in her special message highlighted the importance of agriculture, farmers and urged the students to stop wasting food.
