A special private sector employment camp for the members of the families of the victims of the corona epidemic was held in Erode on Thursday and Collector H Krishnaunni handed over appointment orders to the selected persons.
The Department of Social Security, in collaboration with the District Child Protection Unit and the Erode District Employment and Career Guidance Center, conducted a special private employment camp for those who have lost family income due to the Corona epidemic.
Collector H. Krishnanunni presided over the function which was held at the District Collectorate. In Erode district, 450 children lost mother or father due to corona. To help such children, the camp was arranged to provide employment for the parents of the children according to their education qualifications.
On behalf Erode Chennai Silks, the Collector handed over dress to 125 children in the Government Boys' Home, Kodumudi Karunai Home, Arachalur Kasturba National Children's Home, BP Agraharam Assisi Bhavan, Nathagaundampalayam Karunalaya, Satyamangalam Real Home Centre.
The special camp was attended by 17 industrial companies and 182 persons who lost their income earning family members. The Collector issued appointment orders to the selected persons.
The event was attended by District Assistant Director of Employment Maheshwari, District Child Protection Officer Satish Kumar, District Employment Officer Jyoti, Probation Officer Renuka Devi, Security Officer Rajendran and Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee, members, Youth Judicial Committee members and departmental officers.
