Judians won the overall Championship in the Regional level Athletic meet

About 930 students from 43 schools participated in the Tamil Nadu regional athletic meet of the council for the Indian school certificate examination that took place at Nehru stadium in Chennai on August 1 and 2. The event was hosted by Sishya and was inaugurated by Muneer Sait, an Olympic medalist in hockey. 

Despite the heavy competition, Judians secured 119 medals - 59 gold medals, 37 silver medals and 23 bronze medals - and came out as the overall champions of the state. The students also won the divisional championships in all the three categories - sub-junior, junior and senior. 

Individual championships were bagged by S Sarvesh in sub-junior boys category, R Prajith and Sawan S Reginold in junior boys category, T Rohit and Vishnupriyar in senior boys category and M Kareeshma in senior girls category. 

As many as 38 out of 63 athletes would be participating in the CISCE national athletic meet that is scheduled to take place in Pune from November 3 to 7.  Chairman of the school PP Dhanarajan, principal Saro Dhanarajan and executive director Samjith Dhanrajan congratulated the winners.
