Kalaingar took tireless efforts for society’s betterment: K.Pitchandi at, Kalaingar centenary

On the occasion of the centenary of Muthamizharinagar Kalaingar, a seminar titled "Legislative Leader – Kalaingar" was organized by District Collector Mr. S. Karmegam, E.A.P., under the esteemed leadership of  Tamil Nadu Legislative Council Deputy Speaker Mr. K. Pichandi. The event took place today (12.01.2024) at Salem, Government Girls Arts College, and Salem Cluny Matriculation High School.
In his address, Mr. K. Pichandi highlighted the significant role, emphasizing his contributions, Mr. Pichandi noted that the late leader enacted numerous laws and implemented a multitude of schemes aimed at the upliftment of the underprivileged. Muthamizharinagar Kalaingar is revered as a "Legislative Leader" owing to his tireless efforts in the betterment of society.
The Deputy Speaker stressed the universal impact of Muthamizharinagar Kalaingar's projects, stating that they transcended regional boundaries and had the potential to shape the destiny of India. He urged students to hone their skills, aspiring to become custodians of the nation's history.
Following Mr. Pichandi's address, the winners of the "Legislator - Kalaingar" seminar, held as part of the centenary celebrations, were honored by the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker.
The event witnessed the presence of Legislative Assembly Menal Member and Festival Committee Member Mr. C. Gnanasekaran, Salem Member of Parliament Mr. S.R. Parthiban, Mettur Assembly Member Mr. S. Sathasivam, District Revenue Officer Dr. P. Maneka, Legislative Assembly Additional Secretary Mr. Subramaniam, Joint Secretary Mr. M. Karunanidhi, District Primary Education Officer Mr. M. Kabir, Legislative Council Deputy Secretary Mrs. V. Sumathi, Pro-Secretary Mr. Bhaskaran, and Salem 8 Government Women Arts College Principal Dr. N. Gandhimati, among other officials.
The seminar served as a tribute to Muthamizharinagar Kalainar, commemorating his invaluable contributions as both a legislative leader and an artist.
