On the occasion of Children’s Day, Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital (KKCTH) today organized a BMT Survivor Children’s Meet to raise awareness about Rare Hematological Disorders and to stress the fact that the blood cancer is completely curable and all can lead a normal life after successful treatment. Around 25 children attended the event with their parents. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Sarala Rajajee - Senior Consultant, Pediatric Hematology, Dr. Mehta’s Hospital, Dr. Ilankumaran K - CEO & Senior Consultant, Liver Anaesthesia & Intensive care, Rela Hospital and Mr.J.Sundaralingam - Managing Director, Jeyachandran Trust & Jeyachandran Textiles, Venkatesan HTS Coatings, Founder & CEO.
Dr. Deenadayalan, Hemotalogist, KKCTH, said “We have successfully performed bone marrow transplants for children with complex disorders such as various types of immunodeficiency, immune dysregulation, uncommon bleeding disorders and metabolic conditions.”
