Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital organizes Bone Marrow Transplantation survivor Childrens

On the occasion of Children’s Day, Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital (KKCTH) today organized a BMT Survivor Children’s Meet to raise awareness about Rare Hematological Disorders and to stress the fact that the blood cancer is completely curable and all can lead a normal life after successful treatment. Around 25 children attended the event with their parents. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Sarala Rajajee - Senior Consultant, Pediatric Hematology, Dr. Mehta’s Hospital, Dr. Ilankumaran K - CEO & Senior Consultant, Liver Anaesthesia & Intensive care, Rela Hospital and Mr.J.Sundaralingam - Managing Director, Jeyachandran Trust & Jeyachandran Textiles, Venkatesan HTS Coatings, Founder & CEO.

Dr. Deenadayalan, Hemotalogist, KKCTH, said “We have successfully performed bone marrow transplants for children with complex disorders such as various types of immunodeficiency, immune dysregulation, uncommon bleeding disorders and metabolic conditions.”

Dr. Meena Sivasankaran, Hemotalogist, KKCTH, “The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme and the Telengana Arogya Shree Comprehensive Health Insurance Schemes are incredibly beneficial, offering financial assistance for our BMT.”

Bone Marrow Transplant team at Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital (KKCTH) led by Dr.Deenadayalan M and Dr.Meena Sivasankaran successfully performed 25 Blood and Marrow Transplant. These procedures have made the significant impact on the lives of children who underwent transplant.
