KAS inspects Kavilipalayam lake

Gobi MLA and former minister KA Sengottaiyan inspected 400 acre    Kavilipalayam lake at Kuppanthurai in Nambiyur block in his segment. As the bushes spread in the lake, its water storage level came down. So, he said after getting collector's approval, the Olirum Erode Foundation (OEF) will initiate desilting work in the lake which was already included under the Athikadavu Avinasi water project. It would help improve ground water level in nearly 10 km area, he added. Bavanisagar MLA Bannari, AIADMK block secretary Thambi Subramaniam and OEF president S Chinnasamy were present.
