KASC celebrates international year of millets

The Department of Biochemistry of Kongunadu Arts and Science College (KASC) in association with Tamil Millets, Coimbatore, sponsored by Indian Science Congress (ISCA), Coimbatore chapter, organised a conclave on “Native millets for sustainable health'' at the KASC.

As a part of this program millets-based stalls of various brands (Anil, Idhyam, Jeeni, Sri sai foundation, Saki enterprises, Arya foods, S-Mart, Sri sai swashini catering, Youtube cloud kitchen, Shivani, Chennai mettex, MMM foods, Aathira agro foods, Excels nutria foods, Jeevam nutria foods) has been exhibited at the college campus from 9-4.30pm.

Coimbatore Chapter inaugurated

Dr. R. Venkatesh, Assistant Professor and Head of Biochemistry (PG and Research) welcomed.  Dr. S. Paulsamy, R&D Dean and Convenor, ISCA, Coimbatore Chapter inaugurated it. Dr. P. Aruna, Deputy Director of Health services Coimbatore, Dr. P. Nalayini, Principal Scientist, ICAR-Central Institute of Cotton Research (CICR), Coimbatore, Rtn. S. Sundar, MBA, Sales and marketing Architect-FMCS, Food industry, Founder and CEO of Millet Foundation and TanMillet’s, Coimbatore spoke.  Dr. J. Anitha, Assistant Professor and 
Department of Biochemistry, KASC, proposed the vote of thanks.
