KASC holds cyber security standards summit

Kongunadu Arts and Science College (KASC) organised a 2 day National Cyber Security Standards Summit ’22 (XVI Edition) on August 26 and 27.

Dr. M. Lekeshmanaswamy, Principal, welcomed the gathering. Dr. C.A. Vasuki, Secretary & Director of the College delivered the presidential address. 

Dr. S. R. Madhan Shankar, Dean Academics, in his key note address highlighted the Cyber Swachhta Kendra, and introduced the Chief Guests, A.S.Kumari, Chairman, Tamil Nadu State Women’s Commission, and Dr.E.Khalieraaj, Director, National Cyber Safety Security Standards, to the gathering. 

A.S.Kumari explained the nature and functions of the Commission, various Amendments and Acts of the government for safeguarding women from cyber threats, One Stop Centres at hospitals, various Helpline numbers to aid women and children.

Dr. E.Khalieraaj addressed how to develop our nation as the cyber crime free India by inculcating certain technical values to create awareness of cyber crimes amongst the youth, financial frauds, etc. Dr.S.Mythili, Dean, School of Computer Science also spoke.
