KASC signs MoU with ICSI

Department of Corporate Secretaryship with CA and Professional Accounting of Kongu Arts and Science College (KASC) has inaugurated the Department Association activities. Correspondent K.Palanisamy presided. Principal Dr.N.Raman felicitated the gathering. 

The programme was inaugurated by ICSI, Coimbatore chapter, Chairman, CS.S.Palanikumar, Secretary, CS.A.Elanghovan and Principal. Further the college has signed a MoU with ICSI. ICSI has recognised the college and Department as “Erode Study Centre” for conducting CSEET oral coaching classes. 
Apart from this, the MoU enables for academic collaboration, promotion of excellence in common areas of interest, imparting knowledge and skills. 

After the inauguration, the activities were initiated with the Professional Course Awareness Programme on “Career as a Company Secretary”. The Chairman addressed all kind of BCom students and stated that the main aim of the ICSI is to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretary. 
He explained the role of a Company Secretary is a multifaceted one which ranges from the role of KMP to representation services. 

He also insisted why companies hire a company secretary in today’s era. He moved on to elucidate upon the details and intricacies of the CS Executive Entrance Examination. 
He gave a comprehensive explanation on the eligibility, fees, schedule and syllabus. Dr.K.K.A.Alagaappan, Associate Professor and Head of the Department welcomed. Dr.C.Vidhya delivered a vote of thanks.
