KPL registered 16.43% growth: CMD at RDayspeech

Mr. Sunil Paliwal, IAS, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD)unfurledthe National flag at the Kamarajar Port Administrative Premises to mark the The 74 th Republic Day. Addressing the gathering, highlighted the important milestones achieved by the Port and urged that allshould put in their best to take the port to greater heights.

Mentioning about the recent visit of Mr.Sudhansh Pant, IAS, Officer onSpecial Duty, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Government of Indiavisit to Kamarajar Port on 21.01.2023, the CMD said that the Kamarajar Port’s throughput of 32.60 million tonnes during the financial year 2022-23 (December2022) with an increase of about 16.43% over previous year which is the highestgrowth rate among all Major Ports.

The Port is expected to handle 45 MMTcargo in 2022-23. He urged all stake holders to contribute their best for thegrowth of KPL. Senior Officials and Employees of KPL, Port users, Public from nearbyvillages participated in large numbers.
