Lamp lighting ceremony at Ramakrishna Institute

The Lamp Lighting Ceremony was celebrated by College of Nursing, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences on Feb 15. D. Lakshminarayanaswamy, Managing Trustee, S.N.R Sons Charitable Trust presided.
The chief guest of the programme was Dr.Esther Rakel, Dean cum Principal, Ganga college of Nursing Coimbatore. The programme commenced with welcome address by Dr.T.Nirmala, Principal, College of Nursing, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences.
             

The First year B.Sc Nursing students pledged to follow the path shown by Florence Nightingale by lighting lamps and taking oath as a mark of entry into the nursing profession. The Florence nightingale pledge was administered by Dr.Karpagam Chief Nursing officer, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore. The Chief Guest Dr.Esther Rakel, Dean cum Principal, Ganga college of Nursing Coimbatore, addressed the students and emphasized on Attitude, Skill, Knowledge to practice nursing, motivated them to excel in academics and she insisted on creating roadmap for successful life. Dr.Girijakumari. S, Vice Principal, proposed the vote of thanks.
