Lawyers wing asks DMK to allot Erode LS seat to Congress

Erode Maanagar district Congress lawyers wing appealed to the ruling DMK to allot Erode LS seat to Congress party in the coming LS poll. 

The wing's meeting was presided over by the wing's state secretary CM Rajendran. It opposed the Centre's move to change the name of IPC, CrPC, Evidence Act etc in Hindi,  condemned parliament standing committee for approving the move despite opposition of Congress, DMK and other parties in Parliament, and wanted translation of all laws in 22 regional languages, approved in the Constitution. Despite the government allowed remittance of the cost of court fees stamps and stamp papers  through online, the practice of using stamp papers were existed in filing affidavits existed in the courts. So, it appealed to the government to take steps to remove shortage of court fee and other stamp papers. Wing's district president Prakash, functionaries Benhar Wesly, Ponnappan, Vinoth Mariyappa, Chithra, Rajiv Gandhi, Saminathan, Karthi, Velmurughan, Keerthi, and Mohankumar attended.
