Worldwide, more than 16,000 people in 75 countries are infected with monkey pox.
Out of the five people who have died so far, four are from India, three in Kerala and one in Delhi. Monkey pox infection has been confirmed in humans. What are the symptoms of monkey fever? Body aches, back pain, body tremors, fatigue and within 5 days of the onset of symptoms, red dots appear on the body. Then they turn into blisters. Within weeks these blisters will disappear and fall off.
If not treated on time, it can lead to death.
In this situation, to prevent the spread of the virus at full speed, the Union and State governments are taking measures. To prevent monkey pox infection, whatever method we followed in the case of corona virus should be followed to protect ourselves. These include wearing masks, maintaining social distance and personal hygiene. Vaccination and booster vaccination should be given regularly.
Another aspect to take note is that at a time when monkey pox infection rate is on the rise the World
Health Organization has declared it as an medical emergency. Everyone should take it as a warning.
When Corona initially spread in India, first infection was discovered only in Kerala. Soon a couple of people were infected and the infection then spread rapidly and reached whole of India itself.
It has also set foot in the capital Delhi. The person who is confirmed to be infected in the capital is a Youth. The concerns increase because the youth had not traveled abroad. It is feared that if tests are increased more infected cases will come to light in the country. there will be some more infections already in the country.
Meanwhile in Tamil Nadu no one is infected with monkey pox said Ma. Subramanian, Tamilnadu Minister for Health and Family Welfare.
That being said is somewhat comforting.
Be careful though!
