Lighting ceremony in Avinasilingam Institute

Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women organised the Lighting Ceremony in honour of the outgoing students on 5th April, 2024.

Dr. Radha Raghunathan, Director, Adyar Library and Research Centre Theosophical Society, Adyar, Chennai, lighted the Mother Lamp and delivered the Special Address and appreciated the institution for its rich culture. 

The Chancellor Dr.T.S.K.Meenakshisundaram presided over the ceremony and delivered the presidential address. His speech highlighted that Ayya’s vision and committment to empower women through education and Dr. Rajammal P Devadas’s dedicated efforts in shaping this stellar institution to further heights of glory is something that one can learn a lot from.

The chancellor administered the pledge to around two thousand five hundred and thirty Eight (2538) received the pledge administered by him.

Earlier Dr.N. Vasugi, Dean, Students Affairs welcomed the gathering and Dr.S.Gurugnambiga delivered Vote of Thanks.
