Lindstrom India expands its Workwear Service operations in Chennai

Lindström India, a 100% subsidiary of the Finnish Lindström  Oy,  has expanded its workwear service unit in Chennai to serve the growing demand of the services in South India coming from  Electronics Industry, Food Industry, Pharmaceuticals, healthcare &automobiles industry.

Juha Laurio, President & CEO, Lindstrom Group stated, “The state of art business unit in Chennai not only increases capacity by 100 % but is designed to support Lindstrom’s Sustainability Goals to be Carbon Neutral by 2035 and ensuring best utilisation of natural resources by installing 100% water recycling plants. The unit is Chennai is expected to employ about 100 employees".

Anupam Chakrabarty, Senior Vice President, Asia, Lindstrom Group opined, “With our high growth rate in India, we as a group are happy to continue to invest in expanding our operations in the future as well.” 

Jayant Roy, MD, India, stated, " With this launch, we now have 11 workwear and 1 cleanroom business unit in India with a capacity to process more than 3 million garments per month. "
