Makkaludan Mudhalvar camp held in Tiruvannamalai

The "Makkaludan Mudhalvar" special camp was held in Tiruvannamalai, with District Collector D Bhaskara Pandian and State Athletics Association vice-president EVV Kamban in attendance. The event, aimed at addressing the concerns and needs of the local population, saw government officials receiving petitions from residents of various panchayat unions, including Tiruvannamalai, Thurinjapuram, Kilpennathur, Thandarampattu, and Sengam.
The District Collector emphasised the importance of the Makkaludan Mudhalvar program in making government services easily accessible to the public. He highlighted the program's goal of addressing issues efficiently by bringing together 15 government department officers in one location. He also stressed the importance of preventing child marriages and encouraged mothers to ensure their daughters receive education up to college level, noting that early marriages often lead to complications such as the birth of disabled children. He urged the public to report child marriages through the toll-free number 1098 and highlighted the benefits of education for girls for the prosperity of future generations.
During the camp held in Thillaiampalam panchayat, several petitions were addressed on the spot. The district administration provided immediate solutions, including issuing orders for belt changes for six individuals, class certificates, location certificates for one person, and certificates for changing the name on electricity connections for two persons.
The special camps, conducted at five locations across Tiruvannamalai district, received a total of 1,898 petitions. The event was attended by District Revenue Officer Dr. M Priyadarshini, Tiruvannamalai Union Committee President Kalaivani Kalaimani, Thandarampattu Union Committee President Parimala Kalaiyarasan, and other government officials and members of the public.
