Meesho aids Digitisation of MSMEs

Meesho, India’s fastest growing internet commerce company crossed 6 lakh sellers on its platform recently, recording a 7 times increase since April 2021.An increasing number of small businesses have joined Meesho in the past year.
Meesho collects zero commission and imposes zero penalty. 

There are nearly 30,000sellers from Tamil Nadu with the highest number of sellers from Chennai, Tiruppur,Coimbatore, Salem and Madurai among others. Top categories in this region includekidswear, apparel, home & kitchen, personal care and consumer electronics, accordingto a communication from the company.

Nearly 70% of all Meesho sellers hail from tier 2+ cities such as Amritsar, Dharwad,Rajkot and Tiruppur, among others. The company has been instrumental intransforming 1 lakh small business owners into lakhpatis and over 5,000 into crorepatis since January 2021. Enabling sellers to tap into a large and diverse customer base hasboosted their earning potential, the communication adds.
