Mr. Tenkasi S. Javakar said ''The Government of Tamil Nadu is working towards creating an egalitarian society by uplifting the Adi Dravidar and tribal people in terms of education, social and economic status.
The schemes implemented by the government should reach them by creating sufficient awareness about the government's schemes.
Students are studying in primary schools, middle schools, high schools, higher secondary schools, tribals boarding schools, run by the Department.
Officers should take the necessary steps that they score high marks just like the students studying in other schools.
Adequate guidance should be given to the students who are going abroad for higher education after completing their schooling.
Also, by calling the people who have already studied in these schools and are now in a high position, we should create self-confidence in them, so that they would also excel in education and achieve a high economic status.
Also, various schemes are being implemented under the TAHDCO scheme including Entrepreneurship Development Scheme, Youth Self Employment Scheme/Economic Assistance for Business Development, Medical and Related Treatment Centre Schemes, Adi Dravidar Women's Self Help Groups. The officers should work in coordination so that such programs reach the people of Adi Dravidar and tribals, he advised.
