Mega Clean-Up Drive under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan at Ulundai Village

Saveetha College of Pharmacy, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Chennai conducted various development activities under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) in the adopted village of Ulundai, Thiruvallur District.

The team discussed the problems faced by the village people and a meeting was organized as a preliminary discussion to learn about the ground realities of the problems faced by the villagers. The team recomended undertaking of a tree plantation drive, disseminating awareness on waste segregation, conducting lectures on child safety and organizing skill development for women to enhance their earnings. Awareness about sanitation and cleanliness was raised the same day.

As hygiene and cleanliness were the priority of the villagers, the UBA  team participated in a mega drive to make and keep their village clean through various means.
