Minister assures New Building for Govt School

Erode Veerappan Chatram Government Girls Higher Secondary School will get an additional class room building, Housing Minister  S Muthuswamy said. He distributed free bicycles to 395 girl students of the school under the government scheme. Around 17553 plus two students of 175 government and aided schools will get bicycles in the district this year. 

The school has over 1650 students and the teachers sought 10 class room building to meet the classroom shortage.  They sought some land in the CN College to build the classrooms. But, in the college land, an indoor sports stadium for all kind of games would come up. So, action will be taken in consultation with the Collector to build an additional building in the existing school premises itself, he assured. Collector H Krishnan Unni, Mayor Nagaratnam Subramaniam Deputy Mayor Selvaraj, CEO Ayyanan and others were present.
