Minister distributes Free Bicycles to Students

On behalf of the Department of School Education, 366 students from 3 schools in Chennimalai Union were given free bicycles valued at Rs.18.64 lakhs. Distributing the cycles at Komarappa Sengundar Higher Secondary School, Chennimalai, Minister of Information,  M. P. Saminathan said that, the CM has been implementing various schemes for the benefit of school students..

In particular, Rs.36,000-crore funds have been allocated for the school education department. When he was an MLA, he made a request to provide free bus pass to the students studying in government schools. 

He provided Rs.1000-incentive to girl students under Muvalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Guarantee Scheme.Following the disruption of school education during the Corona period, the Veedu  Thedi Kalvi thittam was introduced to bring education to children's homes. 

He has launched Naan Muluvan scheme to bring out the talents of children during their studies. This scheme is  for children who are studying to improve their skills to get government jobs. 

Students who write various competitive exams including the entrance exam are under a lot of stress.  If they fail in the exam, they should not get discouraged and continue your efforts and succeed. 

All should give full cooperation to the various activities being undertaken to wipe out drug abuse.  A total of 17,553 students, including 8,357 boys, studying in 127 government aided higher secondary schools in Erode district, will be provided with free bicycles valued at Rs.8,91,59,907. Using bicycles will improve health condition, he added.
