Minister inaugurates paravolley competition

Housing Minister S Muthusamy inaugurated a 2 day state level paravolley competition for Udayanidhi Trophy 2023, sponsored by the Erode South District DMK unit and arranged by the TN Paravolley Association at the Erode Arts and Science College on Saturday evening.

In his speech, the minister assured to extend due help to the players and informed that the government planned to create a mega indoor stadium with all facilities at the Erode CN College as the College was taken over by the government.

Association state president Makkalrajan said 8 men and 4 women teams took part in the event in which the best players would be selected to take part in the South zone paravolley competition to be held in August. 
The present event would help Indian team to enter paraolympic competition to be held in Paris next year. He appealed to the minister to grant houses to the poor players.
