Minister reviews Central projects

A review meeting was held at the Coimbatore District Collector's office meeting under the leadership of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Mr. Shri Ajay Kumar Mishra regarding the projects funded by the Union Government in the district. 

Commissioner of Rehabilitation Department Mrs. Jacinda Lazarus, Joint Secretary Mr. Sanjiv Sehgal, District Collector Dr. G. S. Sameeran, Pollachi MP Mr. K. Sanmugasundaram, Police Commissioner Mr. V.Balakrishnan, Corporation Commissioner Mr. M. Prathap, District SP Mr. V. Patri Narayanan,  District Revenue Officer Ms. P.S. Leela Alex and departmental officers  were present.  Mishra inquired about the necessary facilities, opinions and grievances of the Sri Lankan Tamils ​​living in rehabilitation camps.

Then he honored the heirs of the freedom struggle martyrs and reviewed the works initiated  under the various Central projects.Mrs. Jacinda Lazarus, said there are currently 106 Sri Lankan Tamils ​​rehabilitation camps in Tamil Nadu. 59,000 Sri Lankan Tamils ​​live there. There are 4  Camps in Coimbatore District.  The department officials should take necessary steps to speedily complete the projects funded by the Union Government in the district, she said.
