Minister's assurance to establish University in Erode

The 7th Graduation Ceremony was held on Sunday at Ezhumathur Government College of Arts and Sciences, next to Modakkurichi, Erode District. S Muthusamy, Minister of Housing, Tamil Nadu attended the event and conferred degrees on 650 students. 

He said the CM MK Stalin launched the Youth Skills Festival to improve the quality of life of college students and asked the students to use the scheme effectively. Steps will be taken to construct an additional 20 classroom buildings in the College and adequate bus routes will be established for the college students.  

It is not enough for students to become graduates. They should read further and be effective in good government and private work.  Steps will be taken to set up a university in Erode district.  If it is  located in the heart of the city, it will benefit students in the surrounding four and five districts, he added.
