MLA arranges marathon at Perundurai

To emphasize the importance of regular physical exercise to maintain fitness, Perundurai MLA JK@S.Jayakumar arranged and participated 5 km length marathon at Perundurai on Sunday morning. 

Perundurai Assistant Superintendent of Police Gautham Goyal and Inspectress Masudha Begum inaugurated it.  The marathon, started and ended at the Perundurai bus station, proceeded via important roads in the town. 

850 people participated in three categories-  children under 13 years and men and women above 13 years. In the men's category, Siva, in the women's category, Taruna, and in the children's category Sajith won  I prize of Rs 5000 and a  bicycle in each category. Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 were given as II and III prize respectively.  All the participants were given certificates and medals. 

The event was organized by the MLA's JK Moongil Katru  Foundation, Prathvik Fashion, Get Pet Studio, A Square Sports Academy, Perundurai Surgicals, Dr. Yasodharan, Rahul and Yuvanitya.  In the event party block secretaries Aruljyothi K Selvaraj, Vijayan alias K Ramasamy,  Rams said Ramasamy and former TP president  Pallavi Paramasivam were present.
