Montfort Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Yercaud has secured accolades in the recently concluded Tamil Nadu School Education Department's under-17 State Tennis Tournament held in Musiri, Trichy district.
The three-day event, which ran from December 5th to 7th, witnessed participation from talented tennis players representing 39 districts across Tamil Nadu.
A. Saikaran, representing Montfort School from Salem District, Yercaud, showcased skill, claiming the second position and clinching the silver medal in the state singles category.
Moreover, in a display of teamwork and proficiency, students Niven Prangi and Saikaran forged a formidable partnership, securing third place and clinching the bronze medal in the doubles category, setting a new record in the process.
The students received warm congratulations and accolades from the Montfort School Director of Physical Education, V. Jayakumar, alongside the Physical Education Teachers and Coaches, S. Vasanthakumar and M. Rajagani.
The school's Principal, Rev. S., and Dominic Savio extended high praise to the successful athletes for their commendable achievement in representing the school at the state level.
