Mupperum Vizha in Venkateswara College

A science fair for school students, felicitation function for 11 teachers who won Dr Radhakrishnan Best Teacher Award, and Dr Abdul Kalam's birthday celebration (Mupperum Vizha) were held at Sri Venkateswara Arts and Science College, Gobi on Tuesday. 

The exhibition was inaugurated by College Trustee Kaviarasu who called upon students to follow the ideals of Kalam to come up in life. Joint Secretary Kettimuthu lauded the services of teachers in building good society. Principal A Mohanasundaram urged students to treat Kalam as their role model. College director Gautham expressed hope that the exhibition will offset the declining interest in learning basic science among government school students.

Over  650 students, 30 teachers from over 10 government schools visited the expo  arranged by the college students which attracted the students much.  The best teacher awardees also spoke. College Profs Arogyaraj, Rajasekhar, Senthamil Selvi, Banumathi made arrangements. Transportation and food were arranged for all students and teachers.
