National Seminar on Best NAAC Assessment Criteria

 The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women organized a National Seminar on Best Practices of Avinashilingam Institute fostering NAAC Assessment Criteria on Sept 28. Smt. Anandiben Patel, Governor, Uttar Pradesh  inaugurated the seminar and delivered the Key Note Address.

She said that though there are 32 State Universisties in Uttar Pradesh, awareness about NAAC accreditation and quality parameters is practically very low.   70% of the curriculum is designed by the government and 30% by the universities. Since the awareness of literacy and education is less, juvenile crimes are more in number in UP. 

Governor appreciated the maintenance of quality and standards in the institute. She also elaborated on the welfare schemes that the government of Uttar Pradesh has implemented in their State. In his Presidential Address Prof. S.P. Thyagarajan, Chancellor, said that the National education policy targets on total community development, to be made possible with a multidisciplinary mode, to move on the intellectual pathway. 

Dr. S. Kowsalya, Registrar, welcomed the gathering. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the Smart India Hackathon contests and the winners of the National Boxing competitions.  Dr. V. Bharathi  Harishankar, Vice Chancellor, in her Felicitations, promised that the institute will maintain its standards by constructing quality in every aspect on the campus. Dr. U. Jerinabi, IQAC Cordinator, of the Institute delivered the Vote of Thanks.Vice Chancellors of various universities, Members of Avinashilingam Educational Trust, Deans of various schools, Faculty members, Press fraternity, researchers and students participated.
