New App introduced to report substandard food

Health Minister Mr.M.Subramanian introduced a new App and website at Chennai to help public to report about substandard food items to the government to take necessary action. The website is created in both English and Tamil. The complaints would be kept secret and action be taken within 24 to 48 hours, said Collector SP Amrith.
Health Secretary Dr.P.Senthilkumar, Commissioner of Food Safety and Drug Administration Department Mr. Lalveena, Director Health Program Dr S.Uma, Director of Medical and Rural Welfare Dr Shanmukakani, Director of Food Safety Department Dr Devaparthasarathi attended the App introduction function.
